Not your typical album, which is what makes Omar unique in a lot of ways, and on first listen this will probably be off putting for most soul fans. This album however is a grower if you just take the time to listen and remain open minded. I certainly for one couldn't see the attraction and why this album was getting rave reviews. But going back and listening again I can see that maybe I was hasty and should try and grow into this album, and if I am going to be honest it is beginning to grow on me second play.
